PIA CARRASCO
For the past 15 years, Pia has pursued her passion for transforming spaces, improving the lives of those who inhabit them and maximizing each project’s potential. She founded Satori Studio, an architecture and interior design firm, and has collaborated on a wide range of projects including sales rooms, offices, show apartments, and residential spaces in Acapulco, Mérida, Querétaro, and Mexico City.
Since relocating to Los Cabos two years ago, Pia has combined her love for nature with interior design, focusing primarily on residential projects in communities such as Querencia, Club de Golf Country, and La Ventana. One of her greatest strengths is furniture manufacturing, a field that has deepened her appreciation for Mexico’s rich artisanal traditions and diverse materials.
SOFIA IDOATE
Architect and Interior Designer specialized in hospitality and residential projects. Her work is grounded in a strong sense of place, with a focus on designing spaces that respond to their environment through local materials, traditional techniques, and cultural context.
Her recent work includes private residences across Spain and Mexico, as well as hotel projects in Belize. She has also consulted for The Ritz-Carlton in Mexico City and led the interior design of Corazón Cabo, a luxury resort in Los Cabos. Previously based in New York, Sofía was a project manager at Meyer Davis, where she worked on international projects including the Crown Hotel in Sydney, the Dream Hotel Group in Atlanta, and The Ritz-Carlton restaurant in Mexico City.
Working with Baia Studio on my residence at Oceana Wellness was an exceptional experience. I came to them with a blank canvas and a vision, and Sofia and Pia helped me transform it into a beautifully designed, functional reality.
Before they started, I was unsure how to make the most of the space. Sofia and Pia not only found innovative ways to add more light but also gently encouraged me to think outside my conventional decorating comfort zone.
They were instrumental in helping me trust my own design choices while also providing practical, thoughtful guidance on how I would genuinely live in the space. The result is a home that feels both stunningly designed and perfectly tailored to my needs.
